Hi - I'm Mike and welcome to my website, here's just a little bit about me - Born in Norfolk but lived and worked across the UK from Cambridgeshire to Hampshire and London, working and learning my trade including Sales & Service in large corporate companies as well as small regional companies. I had been a hobbyist photographer since around 1997 and I moved back to Norfolk in 2003 and set up my first Photography Studio in Hethersett near Wymondham in 2009.
I moved to the Watton area just over 12 years ago with the lovely Fiona my wife, where we are very happy - it's a great location with easy access to local towns and into Norwich city as well as out to the A11 near Thetford and out towards Suffolk or down towards Cambridge and across country.
After a number of years studying and gaining experience & qualifications I opened our new studio in 2018 ( Breckland Studio ), in Griston, where we were happy ( although in Covid lockdown for around a year ), and where I continued to grow the business. However in 2021 the site where the studio was based in Griston was sold to a new owner who asked all the small businesses on the site to move out - yes a shame BUT we remain positive and looking forward to the future.
I have now been working as a Freelance Photographer known as Michael J Mawby Photographer for some years and I'm now focusing ( sorry for the pun ), on Portraits including Headshots & Sports & Fitness. Much of my work includes capturing Rugby, Football & Hockey matches along with Gym users for Fitness, Progress, Before & After, muscle tone & development and for a snapshot of progress for all the work that is being put in ( it deserves to be captured ).
I take a special interest in providing my customers with great photography and great service along with great products from some of the worlds best suppliers, including Wall Frames, Wall Art and Albums.
I just love what I do and capturing people enjoying life and doing what they love whether that is as a portrait, headshot or in sports & fitness is a wonderful thing. I can't wait to capture you in action or your progresss to provide you with a great experience and brilliant pictures that will be your memories for ever.
